The incident took place at Kapila of Sri Vidya Sangamam in Nanjangud taluk where a housewife died after falling into a river while taking a selfie.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Chamarajanagar district. The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Kavita, the wife of Girish, a resident of Nanjadevanapura village in Chamarajanagar district.
The deceased housewife Kavitha yesterday accompanied her husband Girish and her daughter to worship at the confluence. Before entering the temple, he had gone to wash the feet of the Kapila River in front of the Sreekshetra Sangam. After washing their feet, they proceeded to take a selfie with their mobile phone.
